the Home Hunt

In 4 days, seeing 5-6 houses a day, and looking through many more online this is the house we put an offer in on. It was Saturday night at 11pm when we finished signing papers. We flew out the next morning at 7am. It was a quick trip. We are undercontract and just had our inspection today. So things are moving along.

March 24th-Norfolk, Virginia

Just 4 days after my race, and 1 day after Brad got home from training in Texas, We ventured out to Norfolk Virginia to look for places to live.
Since we couldn't spend every minute looking at houses- It's exausting- we did a little sight seeing. Norfolk has Mermaids all over the city; kind of like a City Mascot. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of one so the dolphin on the beach front will have to suffice. As well as the huge sculpture of Neptune- the Roman God of the Ocean.

There are 4 Naval Bases in Norfolk and Nautica is a naval musem which featured the USS Wisconsin and A traveling exhibit called "REAL PIRATES." We toured Both seeing the massive battleship.
Check out the massive chain- the two black lines running the length of the ship.
The Pirate exhibit showed real pirate treasure recovered from a sunken pirate ship, tales of women pirates, and the youngest known pirate who was estimated to be eight based upon his recoverd remains.

13.1 Miles of Moab

My first Half Marathon was the Moab Canyonlands.
My Good Friend Kath made me sign up. Since it was a lottery I figured I would most likely not get in but in December I recieved a comformation that I was in. My thought was Crap... Now I have to start running. Now I've always thought runners where crazy, especially runners who run outside in the winter. Well I've now become one of those crazy people. I trained for 3 months doing a run/walk system by Jeff Galloway. And have to admit I've fallen in love with running. My goal was a 10 minute mile through out the race and I finished the Race in 02:05:44. It was awesome.
Race Day! Brooke Peacock, Me, and Kath Nilsen

Bradley In the Field

Brad sent this picture because I was having trouble picturing him with a gun and in unifom. Gotta love the geeky issued glasses. Brad said he had to sleep with his gun at night on a cot. Mean while I'm getting used to sprawling out on our bed. Oh the love this man has for his family.
